How to Choose the Right TV Size
The ideal viewing distance depends on your TV's screen size and resolution. For 4K Ultra HD TVs, you can sit closer than you could with older 1080p sets, because the higher pixel density allows you to resolve the image quality even at shorter distances without seeing individual pixels.

Field of View and Immersion
The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) recommends a 30° field of view for a comfortable movie experience, while THX recommends 40° for a more immersive cinematic experience.
